I have both Imovie hd and Imovie 08. What I want help with is 2 things. First my youtube work flow so my videos look somewhat okay for my family to view in other states.
My second work flow I need help with to be able to export back to the camera or being able to put together a dvd to send my family. I know the dvd cant be in HD but I need a work flow that makes it look nice in Sd.. Thank anyone who can help me out....:hv20-smilie70:

Its all pretty self explanatory, but here goes. First of all, dont use '08, its garbage. Open up '08, use the capture tool to capture your footage, then edit away to your hearts content. When your done, go to the top of the screen and hit share>share>compress movie for web/web streaming (i cant tell the difference). Then save it to your desktop (or any other place where its easy to find) and follow youtubes upload proccess.
To put together a dvd, capture and edit as described earlier, but when it comes time to export, go to share>idvd>then click share. Idvd should open and their you can design your menus, music, chapters, all that good stuff. when your done, just pop in a blank dvd and hit the shutter at the bottom next to the play button, and the dvd should burn.
i hope this helps, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

You mean iMovie '08 is worse than HD?

Well, worse is a matter of opinion, but many, many people (including myself) wont touch it because it is a very dumbed down version of imovie HD. Its basically a completely different program, and it does alot of stuff for you, which is great for a soccer mom putting the latest game onto youtube, but it wont do much else.
