Yes. I use my canon rebel xt charger to charge all my batteries.

Does this mean that the batteries are the same dimensions and use the same connections? My charger is an energizer 12volt car charger and only lists the NB batteries, nothing about the BPs. Is your canon charger made for both, or just lists the NBs and the BPs are the same size so work in it too? I want to be sure because I won't have the opportunity to buy another charger before my trip if I am wrong.

The lead connections are the same and so are the voltages. The only difference between the batteries are the amperage and "thickness". The rebel XT batteries are thinner while the HV20's are fatter. Both of which are pin/voltage compatible. While I can use my rebel Xt batteries in the HV20, I can't in reverse since it doesn't fit.
Hope this helps.

I bought this battery (http://www.bluenook.com/product_detail.asp?pid=420), I liked the fact that it is 1900mAh and this charger (http://www.bluenook.com/product_detail.asp?pid=34), I also got 43mm protective UV filter. That was the cheapest prices I found.

Hey stactum, thanks for the links - great prices:hv20-smilie77:
I was wondering...how well is that combo working??
Also, to anyone, is there a difference between a cheap and a more expensive protective UV filter:hv20-smilie24:
