I have searched and searched and looked - and can't seem to find this posting - although this is one thread with it's picture (http://www.hv20.com/showthread.php?t=364)
Could someone link me to the post where he says where he got it ?
Thanks

Mine was the original lens hood comes with Canon XH-A1. Since I added a WA lens for the A1, the orignal A1 becomes spare. I doesn't quite fit all the way, I have to use double-sided foam tape to put it together. It works well.
There was another thread someone found out with a part number to order from Canon. Let me search for that for you

Actually I think it must be the wide angle WD-H43 lens that I thought was a len's shade.
Not quite sure why I would actually need a wide angle lens - have you found that to be quite valuable for shoots ?
Found it for about $190 on amazon - so my mistake thinking it was just a shade. Have you found it worth the $200 ?

To me, WA lens is a must for shooting.

Thanks - looks especially good for tight shoots.

IMHO, the first accessory every new HV20 owner should buy is some type of external microphone (the camera's built-in mic sucks out loud, so to speak).
After that, a good wide-angle adapter would be the next thing on my shopping list.

I shoot a lot outside and I noticed that I was not able to use the eyepiece or lcd very effectively shooting on a sunny day - so I am thinking a lcd hood might be nice addition.

Do you know if you hold the DISP button, the LCD will be brighter?

No - I didn't know that - I think there are lots of things about this camera that I don't know - a great camera - just need more time to play ! And I do read the tips and other posts - which are very helpful - too many tips - not enough time.
