View Full Version : Is it ready for wedding videography?

I own two Canon XL1, a Panasonic DVX100B, a Panasonic DVX100, two Panasonic PV953 and I was about to buy the NEW CANON XHA1 HDV camcorder.

I'm starting to change my mind about speding high dollars in cameras when wedding videography always pays less money than corporate video (and you can always rent a higher end camera for commercial/corporate work).

Is the HD resolution, the 24p and the low light performance of the HV20 camcorder ready to do weddings?

Although the HXA1 and the HV20 are totally different cameras , is it worth it spending $8,000 in two XHA1, when you can have 8 HV20's for the same price (or at least 2 HV20's for $2,000) considering that today's trend is "not being noticed" while recording at a wedding?

Will the bride remember the appearance of your camcorder 2 months later when she receives her wedding video? Will she complain about the image quality and will accuse you of using a home video camera? Or will the quality blow her away so she'll never remember you spend some pocket change on camcorders?

Will it outperform any older 3 ccd DV camera?
