I'm a three-time Emmy-nominated comedy writer with credits from Saturday Night Live, to Pop-Up Video, Celebrity Deathmatch and the Man Show.
I also work as a script consultant. I just got a HV20 - I'd be willing to work a trade for equipment for script consultations (I'm very good, by the way) You can read reviews of me here:

I need a mic for my camera, maybe some lights. In exchange, I'll give you solid coverage of your script.

Shouldn't you be on strike?

Write something funny to prove you're emmy material!

I think the strike rules forbid him from writing samples.

Everything I've ever written was on cable, with the exception of Saturday Night Live, where I was freelance. So as a result, I'm not in the guild.
However, the strike does affect me, though. I had a pilot in the pipeline at Comedy Central and Fox. Since the strike, that project is on hold.
Of course I support the strike completely, and have marched with them here in New York.

In general, we are a friendly & sometimes joking bunch here on this forum so stick with us. I'm sure some of the indies here would love to use some of your talent in their projects. I don't think I'll ever be attempting an indie myself but I want to wish you good luck.
Drop in our coffee shop and tavern sometimes to shoot the bull. We sometimes even pull off a joke or two while we're there.
And yes, we can always use some more wierd people here to add to our knowledge.

Thank you very much for the welcoming words. Some newsgroups can be snarky, but I always try to be sincere.
Here's a pilot I made with two friends for the New York TV Festival.
It's called "Video Shmideo" and is about a man running an adult video store in New York. We won for best actor.

weirdharold,
that is NOT a very good pl;ace to showcase your video:
- Site doesn't support OPERA
- Advertising, Schmatvertising galore
- oh, and it stopped playing at 40 seconds
Sorry, I tried...

As you can see, I'm a writer. Not a tech guy. Let me post it on my site.

Yep, New York City. Send me a message and we'll talk rates.. depends on the project, but I'm very reasonable.
