Still seems that the WD-H43 is hard to find in the UK. Here's a reply I posted a couple of weeks ago, hope it helps:

"I gave up trying to find the WD-H43 in the UK about two weeks ago and decided to make my first purchase from B&H Photo in the USA.

The lens cost $199.95 plus $40.10 shipping. I also received an invoice from UPS for the UK import duty, tax, etc. which totalled approx. £45. So total cost was about £167.

The whole order went smoothly and the lens arrived in less than a week.

Be aware that if you are making your first order with B&H you will need to fax a copy (or e-mail scans) of both sides of your credit card as confirmation before they will ship."

Good Luck, Joe

Thanks for replies guys....
Terfyn..
Thats not the Hi Def lens. the Hi def lens is WD-H43. The 'H' standing for hi definition as I understand it. Or am I wrong?

joemit..
As a Scot that price would cause me more pain than I could possibly bare but thanks.

Rikki..
Cant find it on ebay UK. You wouldn't happen to still have a link to the page on ebay would you?

Me not Rikki either...but me is getting a creeping pain brought on by the thought of an impending invoice from UPS for import duty on top of this if I purchase...a la joemit. Did you get hit for import duty Rikki?.
Just by the by I found out from Canon UK that its not available here yet and they were less than forthcoming when I asked when they would expect to have it available. "Not sure, I'm only a saleswoman":hv20-smilie79:

I think I'll need a wide angle converter when I get my HV20 but that is a lot of money when you consider you could have bought the hv20 for $784 a few days ago!!!

Is the quality of this one really superior to other knock offs? Are there cheaper options? What do you lose in quality (either as a percent or visual signs).
Thanks

Hmm, I'm disappointed to see the TL-H43 isn't yet available in the UK. I found this thread after having no luck finding one. Presumably the same situation as the WD-H43.

Are these the only lenses that will work with an HV20?

Edit: And what is the actually difference between the TL-43 and the TL-H43? I realise the H is the Hi Def versions.. but what is the real difference? Just wondering if the TL-43 would work just as well?
