Nighttime Shot of Cars

Hey, I am making a documentary and I would like a shot of the street at night, with the car's lights emphasized instead of the cars themselves. Is there a way to do this without any noise in the video?

If you want to just see the lights and aren't worried about seeing the actual car, this should be pretty easy to do with minimal noise. Use the manual exposure trick to set the exposure. I recommend using Cinemode, it will help to control the gain.

Well I read that completely the wrong way around, so the answer should be yes. LOL.

try using a very slow shutter, like 1/3, then speed it up in post. that will give you the effect i think you might be after. and yes, use manual exposure to crush the blacks.
