1. What is the cheapest 35 mm adapter? and can i expect good quality from it? How much should i expect to pay?
2. Will an adapter work with my wide angle lens?
3. What lenses for the adapter should i get? I mainly will be using this for making my films( of course they aren't technicly films).
Thanks

there are alot of threads about this on here, dvinfo.net, and other websites. anyway quick answers.

2. you can't use WD-H43. but since you can attach any type of 35mm lens, you can attach any 35mm wide angle lens of your choice.
3. 50mm, wide angle lens, and tele. 1.2, 1.4, or 1.8

I think the cheapest 35mm adapters are DIY ones. Most of the adapters that are manufactured now came from a DIY project taken seriously.
So dont be under any impression that DIY adapters wont give you a good result.
I have a DIY adaptor that works very well.
Heres a link to a thread I posted about my adapter, if you go to page 7 of the thread thats where my most recent footage is. its not hv20 quality but it will give you an idea of what I have acheived with it so far:view (http://pana3ccduser.com/showthread.php?t=14403)
I dont have the panny GS400 anymore and am waiting for my HV20 so I will post some footage when I have it.
When it comes to lenses you want to make sure that you get a lens preferbaly with a high f stop (aperture) number. like 1.2, 1.4 or 1.8 this is so you can let as much light into the adapter as possible.
Also 50mm will give you a standard shot, 28mm is wideangle and you can go even wider like 24mm, 18mm (the smaller the mm the wider the shot) etc

nice work. it goes to show you that these DIY projects can produce footage that can compare to some of the more expensive products out there.
i too am looking into making my own DIY adapter. i hope it comes out nearly as well as yours.

Why can't you just use a step up ring and attach the 35mm lens directly? Why do you need the DOF adapter at all? I know the image would be flipped, but what is the necessity of it. I am a newbie, so be gentle :hv20-smilie03:

Well that question has been handled quite a few times. If you do a search for it, you'll find more info.
Short answer is, it won't work. If it did, then why would all these people spend so much time and money on buying and/or building them?
