I gotta admit, I know sweet *bleep* all about pro camera work, but since I bought my HV20, I've found I spent 90% of my time in Tv(shutter priority) mode mostly at 1/50 shutter (seems to work best for lots of stuff), a few weeks back a few friends and I had a rather drunk roadtrip (We had a Sober driver) to the west coast of NZ(the south island) got some wicked shots :D I found myself experementing with shooting out the side of the car in 1/50 and 1/2000 shutter, gave very different looks/feel.. the 1/2000 gave a very sorta, 'saving private ryan' feel, with each single frame being very crisp.. but very shaky.. 25p aint exactly a very high framerate..

ITS SCARY, I know enough about choosing/setting up shots that I know its a bitch, and its a bitch, when youy only consider camera positions...
add lighting to that, lens settings.. lighting... lets just say I have much more appreciotion for film than I used to... and I have begun to feel very sorry for people why work on a major hollywood film witha USELESS story.. but exelent lighting and camera work :(

...a few friends and I had a rather drunk roadtrip... to the west coast of NZ(the south island)

Is there any other way to experience the West Coast? :hv20-smilie71:
I can tell you some stories from the old Okarito YHA (before they put electricity in it), but I'll refrain... :hv20-smilie02::hv20-smilie03:

Glad you're experiencing the HV20 and all its capabilities; there's some good experimenting that can be done, despite the 'limited' manual control.
