Hi all again.
Ive noticed that when I edit in 24p the playback is not smooth at all.
It seems to judder.
I am using Adobe's 24p preset for the HV20 in premiere pro when editing.

When I download clips online of 24p they also judder when played back in various media players. WM, VLC, RealPlayer and Quicktime.
I thought perhaps my computer was not capable of HD playback.

Athlon 64 3400+
2gb Ram
2x200gb hdd
128 ATI Radeon

Now when I captured footage in 60i HD I got fantastic playback very smooth and extremely great quality.

Anyone have any suggests on how I can resolve my 24p Judder?

My best guess would be that the clip hasn't gone through its required pulldown.

Check the clip, if it says 29.970fps it still has too many frames...

Go to the 24p Workflow subsection here, and learn all about the way to capture 24p.

Thanks for the reply

Okay now Ive sorted it I think its maybe the system.
It still judders when I play clips back downloaded off the internet.

But editing is now smooth.
Converted to 24p with aspect hd then editing in premiere pro using cineform.

Now I have another problem!
When I try to burn the 24p to DVD I get "Plugincoder error: No Plugin DLLs"
Apparently this is to do with a bug in Mainconcept mpeg2dvd burning 24p.

Does anyone know of another codec I can use instead of exporting to avi and bringing it into Adobe encore dvd?
