Hi,
I recently bought an HV20, and absolutely love the thing. I've just finished editing my footage in iMovie '08 and found it quite enjoyable to use, however, now that it's come time for me to export it so I can watch it on something other than my iMac, I'm having quality issues.
Basically, I want to export the finished product so it's playable as a single file on another machine at (reasonably) similar quality to what I get when I play it in iMovie '08.
My heart sank when I saw the horrendous quality of the 'large' video export - my footage is of whitewater kayaking, so the beautiful crispness of the flowing water that the HV20 has picked up is totally lost.
Right now I'm trying an Expert Settings export to HDV1080i50, but I get the feeling it still won't match the quality of the preview in iMovie '08.
Casey & Jill.
