I was just playing around with AMCAP (live preview mode) on my system with my hv20 in DV widescreen mode when I noticed that when I changed the frame rate to 25, no more interlaced lines!.
Unless I'm more sleepy than I realise and my brain has stopped working (its past midnight here) it appears the camera might be capturing in progressive mode under DV when the frame rate is dropped to or below 25 FPS (PAL camera here of course)...
