ecost is having a bargain countdown sale.
i've been eying on HV20 for awhile now. (after missing Dell SB deal) I couldn't resist low 800s tag.
anyone jumping on this?

everyone, please be aware (somewhat). while i looked ecost.com up and i found generally good reviews, there are some problems.
I just made a purchase with credit card while it listed this item as "in stock". in fact this item is STILL "in stock"
however on my Order Status, it says it's backordered.
Also (probably a marketing tactic) when i purchased it, it said "5 left". yet right now, it went up to "9 left".
i dont want to be worrying.. but should i??

neo,
i was going to purchase from ecost until i went to resellerratings.com and have read all the mostly horrible stories. i was surprised because i have ordered from them in the past. think i'll play it safe and wait for my dell order which should be shipping by monday...i hope

I ordered something from ecost maybe around 3 years.can't remember what it was,but i had no problem with them
Will a store like Best Buy or Circuit City price match a site like ecost.com?
I'm not familiar with U.S. stores' price-matching policies. I mean you can easily look up their policies online, but over here in Canada when you go into a store, if the price difference is too high, the managers always try to weasel out of it.

zyad, no.
usually top tier retailers match other local retailers' price
basically excluding online stores, limited offers, promotions, and rebates.
