G5 for editing?

Hello all! I am new to this forum, but I have been coming here as a viewer for some time now. I FINALLY got my Canon HV20, and I want to get a Mac for editing purposes. I came across a really nice deal on a Powe Mac G5 Quad (non-Intel version) with 2.5ghz processors, and I was wondering if such a system is powerful enough to run Final Cut Studio 2 (color, motion, etc.). Any information/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It has no Intel architecture and this will slow it down highly. Don't know if it works.

if it's a quad core then it will rock for editing DV & HDV.
