No where in the manual is there a reference to getting help, no phone number, no email address, no physical address, it does list distribution.
I am absolutely screwed, nothing will make my 2 different computers running XP recognize this camcorder not with USB or firewire.
Does it have service centers that can help? Do you have any email for support.
I almost bought the Canon A1, I have lots invested in my Canon Dslr, but this is the worst situation I have ever had with any company.
It aint a good camera if it is impossible to capture with.

Bring the camera and the HDVsplit program (put in a USB thumb drive) to your friend's computer to test it to see if the probelms is the computer or the HV20.

When I connect my HV20 with firewire, my XP doesn't say it sees the camcorder under "My Computer". But HDVsplit does find the camera.

I will download this HVsplit, but I tried it on two different computers, my main on e and my laptop and same result, it appears to be the laptop. I will try more tomorrow and thanks for the numbers, maybe they have some suggestions.
