I just bought an HV20 a few days ago and have some links to share about keeping it steady. I haven't tried yet but they seem cheap and easy enough. Posted in another area but I suspect it's the wrong place. Enjoy!

Visit instructables (http://www.instructables.com)to get more ideas.

I also read about someone that attached a 10-20lb weight to the tripod mount using a bar and some bolts. The weight kept it steady on walks. They call it a Poor Man's Steadycam (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vQ9ggfKD8I).

Finally...

Thats cool, but I just use a tripod as a stabilizer for moving shots.

Thanks for the links. I plan on building one of more of these things. I will report back when ever I get around to it. :) I might even write up a tutorial and post it on my blog that I recently launched: FilmSchoolJournal.com (http://www.FilmSchoolJournal.com)

Anyone bought one of these?

Does it work with the HV20?

I don't have the tools etc to make one - I'd prefer to buy it.

I've decided to go with http://www.littlegreatideas.com/steadycam/ as it looks great can be bought for £46 in Britain.

I also considered the U Flycam
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/U-Flycam-Steadycam-Stabilizer-for-Sony-DCR-HC-28-vx100_W0QQitemZ120196047269QQihZ002QQcategoryZ2378 0QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

as it had a nice moving handle but it turns out it can't be used upside down,
