So is the dvd on B&H about the hv20 really worth it?

The manual it comes with probably has the same information the dvd does

It's true that the manual has similar information, but the DVD has some interesting recommendations and explains some of the settings in a way that was more understandable for this newbie.

I haven't gone through the whole DVD as of yet, but it has improved my use and understanding of the camera. Maybe it's forcing me to be more systematic about going through every option. I'm not sure I would have done that on my own.

I know that it's "spoon-feeding" me the information, but it's rather pleasant and a bit more interesting than the manual alone. I would've liked to have found it for a little less money, but overall found it worthwhile. Others who are more sophistocated might not like it, but I've been enjoying it.
