Hello

Would you guys buy a Macbook Pro without Firewire 800 but Firewire 400 and USB 2.0?

I haven't got the money for a more expensive one, or more accordingly don't like to spend that much money on a computer. It's either that or a new iMac next february.

What are your opinions?

I'm a little surprised, that there are no opinions about the usuability of non Firewire 800 macs.

I have a first generation MacBook Pro and can't say that I've missed Firewire 800 at all. I have a couple of external hard disks, but they are FW400 and work fine. Here in Hong Kong, all the newer external hard drive cases seem to feature eSATA instead... but can I find an eSATA Expresscard anywhere...?
