I am interested in buying a new camcorder, I currently shoot one a gs500. I am an independent Filmmaker, and i make the best of what i get.

My question is Can i get a good setup ( Camcorder included) for 2,000 dollars?

This would include a mic, tripod , all that jazz!

Also, how much do those 35mm filters run for?

In a nutshell: $2000 should get you nice setup, yes.
Possibly including a mic, tripod, filters, and 35mm adapter with lens.

(assuming the 2000 are USD, and you are in the US)
