Does anybody know how to do a tv burn in where i record my tv off and put a video i recorded just in the tv on final cut pro

Take this with a grain of salt, since I've been out of the FCP world for a while now, but if you are looking to do what I think, you will probably want to use Motion. You set a mask and pin it to the corners of the television, then fill it with your content. The only thing you'll need then is a glow effect for things in the immediate area... maybe someone who (still) cuts on Apple products has a cool way to make that happen?

Yep, Motion is the way. You just cut out the screen and put it on top of your program. I did that a short while ago. Let me dig out that later (it's in the office)...

Sorry, I got that wrong. The TV I did was a picture I got from the web. I just cut out the surroundings and the screen in GIMP then laid it over my footage (resize to need) in FCP. If your TV is going to move, you have to keyframe the motion - easier done in Motion than FCP, but this was a static image, so I didn't bother with tracking. I added some Bad-TV filter to it then sent it to Motion for use in a composition.
