What first?

ok so i have an hv20. I was lookin around and found i will be needing a couple of things to add on to the camera. i know i need the following.
1.filters
2.mic
3.lights
4.wide angle adapter(maybe)
5.and anything else you guys probably think i need.
my question is whats the most important things to get first. what should i start buying first because i cant get everything all now. so whats first? thanks in advance!

also in what are some good brands to get for each thing? im not looking for the best just something mid range. not too cheap but not to expensive either.

Which one to buy first is a really complicated question! :hv20-smilie51:

I would tell the order I got them and also the brands

1) Wide-Angle adaptor (Canon WD-H43)
2) Filters (all HOYA multicoated, for details look in the other filter thread)
3) A 43mm lens cap, to protect the filter (some random brand, these are very cheap)
4) I did already have a RODE SVM. In any case I would have got it at this step.
5) Light ( I still have not got any). Its quite a complicated thing. I mean the lighting.. So I am still not sure what would satisfy me as a consumer not a pro filmmaker.

But one thing you have to seriously consider is getting some kind of steady cam stuff and a good tripod. HD cameras really need to be stabilized to get usable footage. This I think should be the first one in the list. But most of the good ones are so pricy (almost the price of the cam itself!!) I am thinking about some DIY project for steady cam. About tripod I am almost decided on Feisol and a 701RC2 head.

for the input. the wide angle adapter i think ill save for later. i think im goin for the filters first. im gonna have to do some looking around. i also need to buy an external hard drive.:hv20-smilie51:
