I hope this topic hasn't been covered already. I'm F.N.G. and asking a question. Is the only "real" difference between the HV20 and HV40. PF24 and Native 24p? If a person was to use a program like Neoscene for the PF24, would the footage look the same as the native 24P footage? Thanks in advance for any positive feed back.

1) It's been (http://www.hv20.com/showthread.php?26847-HV20-HV30-HV40-Difference).
2) Quite the only 'major' difference. Then add the custom button function to replace the BLC one.
3) Cineform's Neoscene will capture as an AVI with intermediate codec for a better compression (as well as a chroma subsampling from 4:2:0 to 4:2:2) and it will at the same time, remove the "added frames" in the pulldown removal process. So you'll end up with a "native" 24p .avi file instead of a standard .m2ts file with PF24 (24 fps scanned progressively and wrapped in a 60i container with pulldown for compliancy)
