New HV-20 Questions (Mods)

I am new to the forum and very excited about being a part of it...Alrighty, so I am going to get my HV-20 in about 3ish days I think and I am going to get a Rode Videomic (Tenative) and some form of an editing progam (mac) and maybe a lens...Here are my questions, for a mac what is a good HD editor (I have IMovie HD but I haven't used it enough yet to know whether it is decent or not...)(Final Cut Express 4???)? Also should I get a lens (wide angle/fish eye) and if so do you have some reccomendations? Thanks:hv20-smilie70:

iMovie is a very powerful editor for a beginner. FCE4 is also excellent, as it was just released, and recieved a $100 price cut. I fully recommend FCE4, unless you need to film 24p. FC4 can not edit to 24p. I believe you can still import something you have filmed in 24p as 60i, but I am not 100% certain.

To recommend a lens, we need to know what you're shooting. I would say the most common/useful is a wide angle. You would really only need a fisheye for filming skateboarding, or other extreme sports. I don't believe fisheyes are generally used for much else?

I will need to edit 24p....so can I movie edit in 24p? Also if I am editing in that mode what would you reccomend...And what lens would you reccomend as far as wide angles?
