Rule 1:
NO IMAGE HOSTING ON EXTERNAL SERVERS.
Images for the games need to be ATTACHED to the post, and thus uploaded to our server.

Rule 2:
TWO GUESSES PER PERSON PER POSTED PICTURE!!! Those two guesses are not allowed to be in the same post, NOR in a consecutive post.
I.e. you can post one guess, then have to wait for someone else to post: your second guess is not allowed to be immediately following your first guess.

Rule 3:
The WINNER of the game can start a new game IN A NEW THREAD.
NO ONE ELSE (unless yielded so by the winner).

Rule 4:
Once there's a winner, PLEASE post the correct name into the thread (spelled correctly,
and capitalized correctly, and not in italics or bold face.)

Rule 5:
The correct title format is: "Game" / space / "#" / number.
Example: " Game #12" (without the ")
(no space between the # sign and the number!)

Rule 6:
These complete rules (1 to 6) have to be copy&pasted into each new game's first post.

END RULES

This is my second time hosting, hopefully it is obscure enough. I managed to get 15 unique screenshots which tell almost nothing about this weird movie, so let's get this boat on the road! :hv20-smilie01:

It's customary to give some clues in Version 1 games, Um3k.

And for the screenshots you're giving us, I'd say it's absolutely essential! :hv20-smilie03:

Ok, come page 2, I'll start posting some clues. I know you guys are just dying to figure this out.

Oh, and it's not the Frighteners, though that is a good one.

Here's another useless pic:

This is my second time hosting, hopefully it is obscure enough. I managed to get 15 unique screenshots which tell almost nothing about this weird movie, so let's get this boat on the road!

(1) The object of Version One is not to post the most obscure movie you can find. It's to post screenshots of a known movie without revealing too many of the known bits.

(2) "Unique" screenshots are only meant to be used in Version 2.

(3) These screenshots aren't "unique" anyway. The first one could be an exterior in almost every film made in the last century!!!:hv20-smilie84:

Just thought I'd point that out. :hv20-smilie03:

The movie isn't that obscure. It was directed by a protege of a famous non-hollywood director.

I meant they were unique from each other, not unique from other movies. I could have gotten 24 shots from a single second of the film, but that wouldn't be very helpful, unless it was a shot of one of the main actors.

Speaking of them, the next shot will have people in it, I promise. :)

Keeping you in the know, after this will be two more faceless shots, followed by another actor, more faceless, better known actor, more faceless, and, if no one gets it by then, the lead actor.

um3k
2011 January 1st, 17:50
Oh, and another clue:

The actress in the previous shot shares her name with a manufacturer of innovative surfacing products.

I spent about 2 days searching for movies with snow globes. Tonight, I actually had to get my sister to help me because this was so tough. For some reason I went on lostpedia and it had a link to the movie. I'll try to get the next game up tonight and hopefully it won't be won on the first guess like last time =)

Jim E

By the way, Formica was invented in 1912.

I'm not sure the word "innovative" was even in use then!!!!

(Just kidding).:hv20-smilie03:
