Do a google search for a free trial at lynda.com. You'll find links for a 7 day trial, so sign up, and get yourself access to their library of training videos. They're pretty good.

And if you use firefox as your browser, you'll find this addon invaluable:

Thanks for ruining my bank holiday weekend Worley! I was going to do other stuff, but now I'm glued to the Lynda.com website.

Ok, I've installed the firey fox, downloaded the add-on, but I've noticed it doesn't work for files roughly larger than 25mb in size. I've read a bunch of websites and that seems to be true for at least one other person who also noticed it recently. I then found the .qtch file it creates when viewing a movie, but the header is scrambled, so you can't just rename it to .mov and play it, and because it's a fairly new thing, the "haxx0rs" doesn't have a fix for it. yet. They did mention that the file is in tact, it's just the header that needs to be replaced via a hex editing tool. There MUST be an easier way. Did you manage to get all the large files, or did it only save 1kb/2kb files on your pc too?

The secret is to download no more than 4 files at a time.

If you end up with a 1 or 2kb file, just try downloading again. Openthe download window (control + J if not visible), and watch what happens when you start to download - if the file's entry in the list disappears almost immediately, then it hasn't downloaded successfully.

You can also try the Greasemonkey extension with the unembed script (http://www.greasespot.net/ and http://neugierig.org/software/greasemonkey/).

But generally, I've not had any problems downloading.

read the included manual first. then read all the freely available tutorials on the web.

why buy when there's so much out there that's free?

also, as far as downloading is concerned, try Free Download Manager, it's the best download manager i've seen.
