I'm back. I wasn't sure if I should start a new thread since i had questions from the Dell deal earlier.

I searched at fatwallet and found price comparisons together with merchant reviews...
http://fatwallet.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=32868415

PowersellerNYC.com has the HV20 @ BottomLinePrice (incld. tax and shipping) for $935. 832 customer ratings show 4.5 stars:hv20-smilie03:

SHould I go ahead:hv20-smilie77:

I would most definitely say no. Typical bait and switch. Before you buy anything from online retailers be sure to do some research on them.

So are those 832 customer rpricegrabber atings all fake??
The link above is based on six ratings only and the price is a little too high for a bait and switch.

Anyway, I guess I'll have to restrain myself. I'm running out of time cause I'm leaving the country for four months and I want to have the camera with me.
I'm not sure I have the patience to wait for two weeks delivery from the Dell deal.

Thanks, I think I will go with butterflyphoto:hv20-smilie70:

Butterfly doesn't seem to have a fantastic resellerratings rating either though. Hovering around 50%.

Newegg is at $979 right now, with free shipping.

lol there a trusted seller though, there not a NY bait and switch business. Always could go with the Dell Deal:)

Ah, Newegg is my favorite, but I'm in CA so that's about $80 tax!

I think I'll go with crutchfield.com $980 or wait for a few days and hope B&Hphoto lowers the price to 949 or less - but I'm still in a hurry tough.

I almost bought from butteryfly, too. Glad I didn't. My roommate bought a Canon Rebel Digital Camera from them last summer and specifically asked if it was grey market. They said it wasn't. But what they sent was in fact grey market. I'd definitely be cautious about purchasing from them.

I know, hunting an HV20 for a decent price has left a bad taste in my mouth... I didn't realize how much scaming and playing tricks there was.

For this purchase I will relly exclusively on trusted merchants like B&H, buydig.com, crutchfield.com, Newegg and a few more.
