Yup, looks like the one I have. It's a nice lens.

I have the SC version. Very nice. I'd say you have a bargain there, especially if there mechanism is smooth and there are no imperfections on the lens.
Don't forget to get a UV filter for the front. 52mm thread size, I think.

yeah it's a nice one, although the 1.8 is sharper and the ai ones have better coating thus better contrast and less flare. i use the latest series e 1.8, which is somewhere in between in quality, but super light and tiny which was important to me. it can be had for around $50 too.

Oh good! I thought f1.4 would give me more lights vs the 1.8 that I have right now. It was crazy over the weekend, people were throwing some crazy bids on these lenses. I lost on three of the bids and finally got this one. I came home last night and expected someone to outbid me, but lucky me. I won

Yes, the 1.4 is almost a half stop faster than the 1.8, so with it wide open you will have a little brighter image (and a bit shallower depth of field)

Turns out amazing. Finally got the lens yesterday and tried it on. It was sharper and the DOF is much better than my Canon 50mm f1.8 EF.

Which adapter are you using this lens with? How about the quality of the following lens for adapter work?
Nikon Lens Series E 50mm 1: 1.8 AI-s
Thanks

the series e is almost as sharp as its ai sibling, which is probably the sharpest lens i've seen. i don't quite like the thin plastic focus ring, but i love the small size and low weight, which makes me use it a lot even though i own an ai too.

Congrad, you'll love this one. I'm amazed with this lens, but the only con to this is that I'm seeing some ghosting shadow in some bright shot. I'm using this lens with Daniel's 35mm adapter.
