Im lusting for this camera... unfortunately I dont have money for both af100 and gh2 :(

I'm liking both, too. However, for what I do I can live with the GH2 as a specialty camera when I want/need shallow DOF and a "regular" video camera other times. The official AF100 is $5k, down from the anticipated $6k. I'm guessing that in 4-6 months it'll be $3,700 street price.

I'm going to be getting a GH2 with 14-140 kit soon and a second one with maybe the 14-42 not too long afterward. I want a 7-14mm as well... and maybe a 20/1.7. Then, after they pay for themselves, they can buy me a AF100. :hv20-smilie03:

i plan to get a gh1 + 14-140 kit in japan... where the price of the lens alone = the body+kitlens. crazy. i know. i get a japanese language gh1 for free.

gh3 will be 2 years from now.. lumix g series has 2 year cycles

Why two years? the GH1 isn't two years old...yet. The G1 is. Considering you couldn't get a GH1 for quite a while makes it just barely a year old.

B&H still haven't determined a street price yet so I wouldn't be surprised to see it released at around $4,500 to $4,700.

Seen it advertised for $4795 (http://tapeworkstexas.com/panasonic_ag_af100_micro_four_thirds_cinecam_cinem a_camcorder_.html) so far... The dealer created packages should be interesting.

yeah youre right.. it was released around early 2009. i guess thats a 1.5 yr cycle. how time passes by. gf2 next year.. im excited for that as well!

I pray AF100 is $4600 or lower
