I want Worley (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=230) and 24Peter (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=76) to collaborate on the script.

I want Jerry Lee (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=1500) for camera tech.

I want Charles Papert (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=2312) to be the Steadicam flyer (and I promise never, ever to call him 'Chuck'!) :hv20-smilie84:

I want mattias (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=2048) for 1st AC/Focus Puller.

I want fstopopen (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=275) for gaffer.

I want alwyn (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=2779) to head up the aerial unit, and SalaTar (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=962) for the underwater unit.

I want Matt Gettemeier (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=2) for sound recordist.

I want tcindie (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=2743) for VFX supervisor.

I want Rikki (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=340) to coordinate the driving stunts.

I want lordtangent (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=802) for post-production supervisor.

I want audio post production handled by Little-Big Sound (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=3036).

I want Bruce Allen (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=233) to cut the trailers and promos.

I would've wanted vegasarian (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=561) for Director of Photography, assuming that he must've paid an apprenticeship in blood under various crusty BBC "lighting cameramen," but after reading his walking tour of London film landmarks, perhaps he'd be better as location manager! :hv20-smilie50:

(And myself as Production Designer/Art Director, naturally ...) :hv20-smilie77:

twoneil (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=1503) expressed an interest in being the editor, and I'm not one to turn down help, so I say we give him a shot ... (goodness knows I don't wanna log and cut footy from a sixteen-camera shoot!) :hv20-smilie01:

I'm sure I'm overlooking lots of more-than-worthy others ...

Just think of the insane amounts of glorious HD camera coverage we could get!

That just leaves one thing ... who in the hell gets to DIRECT?!? :hv20-smilie58:

I will officiallly pull my hat out of the director pool.. I'm rubbish as a director. Now, technical director, or choreographing background action -- I can do that, otherwise, I just don't seem to speak the same language as actors. (And people always think that I'm in a bad mood, so the actors would be scared of me)

:)

Yea.

Thats cool Worley.
Also stands for 'Trauma Care Foundation' where we could have the 'end of shoot party'

I think it was probably this exchange (http://www.hv20.com/showthread.php?p=24035#post24035) that finally made the decision as to who should be the screenwriting team ... :hv20-smilie81:

When do we see the script?

So, does that mean that you don't like my color grading abilities?

:hv20-smilie122:

*sigh*

This is exactly why I debated starting this thread; even though it's all in fun, I knew someone would feel sleighted. Whoever did or did not get 'picked for the team' has a lot more to do with my unreliable memory and short attention span than the quality of anyone's reel!

Eugenia, I'm quite certain your expertise in all phases of post production (CC included) far exceeds my own! :hv20-smilie31:

So, can I be like, the best boy? People say I'm good at bestboying (whatever the hell a best boy does).

Be careful Asthuriel.....
Take long steps or they'll all be talking about you!

I like a good Grip, myself....

Best Boy is 2nd in charge of a unit, chief assistant would be a more understandable name. While they could be a part of any unit, typically it's grip or electric/lighting (ie: Best Boy Grip -- who assists the Key Grip, or Best Boy Electric -- who assists the Gaffer).

It's a gender neutral term, meaning it can be a title given to either a male or female crew member, "Best Girl" isn't officially a real title.

The most likely origin of the title is when in the early days of film production, departments would occasionally borrow staff of other departments, and the department head would ask for their "best boy".

I missed that thread. (Since I don't drink, I don't hang in the tavern.)

Thanks for the vote of confidence - but you should know I always direct what I right, - eh, I mean write. :hv20-smilie50:

In the spirit of "careful what you wish for, lest ye be drafted" with which this thread began, I'd have to say We've found our director! (Unless of course Worley's people call your people and make a 'thing' out of it.)

BTW, I kinda thought the tavern was the most appropriate place for this sort of blue-sky spit-balling ... happy to buy you a Coke though, bro! :hv20-smilie71:

(Anyone have a couple of million frequent flyer miles burning a hole in their pocket? Let's do this thing! My uncle has a barn, and my mom can sew costumes ...)

I can knit scarves and hats. So let's set it in a Victorian Winter...
