Wow...looked very professional! (well...in fact, it is...)
They did a great job. Some studio ought to catch this.

There is also some nice use of the Video Copilot Action Essentials 2 and Optical Flares. A very well done short indeed.

Minority Report + District 9 + RoboCop + Return of the Jedi (for the AT-ST inspiration) + some more commanding voice actors would go a long way.

I didn't like that they killed the homeless man. That gave up some of the feel that the police department was legit. But otherwise, this was amazing.

Killing the homeless guy made the police and institution look like the bad guy and make the Raven look like the goodie. I think it worked well in cementing the fact that the Raven is the good guy.

I'm going to be contrarian and say, meh. Honestly there was no story whatsoever. The subject matter has been beaten to death. All the story that was there was told through exposition via the police robot. Decent 3d fx does not a film make. The DOP should be very proud. The director and writers, not as much.

I love "$5000" movies that use $30K+ worth of camera gear. Not the most original idea, but pretty well executed.

Red rents for much less than $1000 a day with all the necessary accessories (lenses, tripods etc.). No-one in their right mind buys the gear needed for a short.
