The CSI Look...

Ever since CSI appeared on TV I've always wondered how they get their footage to look to amazing, especially at night. Eg: the fly overs at the beginning etc.

Does anyone know what kind of equipment they use for those types of shows as it looks film like but I'd guess its all digital.
