Just to let you know that Canon WD-H43 wide angle adapter for the HV-20 is available at a mom&pop store in Markham called Amazing Photo. When I picked up my H43, they had 3 in-stock and at the end of the conversation (we always chat) all 3 are gone. Supposedly they can get it in stock within a couple of days (preorders only).

If you mention that you are reffered by me, I'm sure they'll give you the same price as they've given me (CDN$200 + taxes; as opposed to their regular price of $220 + taxes. note: Henry's and Vistek's $230 + taxes).

(amazingphoto.ca -- although I'm not affilliated business wise, they are now my friends since I've been buying my pro photography gears from them for years -- just so we all clear on where I stand).

I hope this post is not deemed as an ad. Should Moderatos find this post to be out of line, kindly let me know and delete this post. :hv20-smilie70:

the problem with Canadian (insert company name here) is that they are too greedy. For example, Canon DM-50 Canadian wholesale price is higher than US MSRP. I bought a Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player for about US$200 shipped after rebate PLUS 5 free movies whereas the wholesale price in Canada is close to 100% higher (after taxes) and does NOT include any movie. Or the current lowest US street price of the HV20 is a tad less than wholesale price in Canada.

It sickens me seeing prices like that... and the Canadian government has the gall to persuade people to buy stuff from local merchant. Sigh :(
