Hey mate, I ordered mine off fleaBay from a Japanese retailer. Cost about £130 all in - well worth it in my opinion.
Not sure if we're allowed to post links to retailers so PM me and Ill forward it on for you.

Post away...no restrictions like that here...

If you guys need WD-H43, I can personally help you. I'll order them from Amazing Photo, and whatever they charge me is whatever I'll charge you plus whatever shipping cost charged by Canada Post International Air Parcel (plus PayPal fees, of course).
I just sent one to France yesterday and if I remember correctly, after all the fees, the total is only US$250 (including shipping, including Paypal fees, including insurance for $300 too!)
note: just to be clear I'm not going to make a single cent out of this, I'm doing this just to help you guys.

Excuse me?
I ordered one from them last week and it arrived in about 4 days time the UK - no problem at all - how does that make them questionable?
Its more questionable to appear on a post naysaying a vendor and offering to "help" yourself with peoples needs
R
Hey, I was looking for a WD-H43 also, but will probably buy from B&H when they get stock back.....I'm in no hurry.
I think that's fantastic that you are offering this here like that, David! Kudos!
Also, Rikki, excellent for you to post back your good experience with that vendor. That is helpful to anyone who might be considering to buy from there...
Now, is this post of mine sufficient to restore LOVE to the universe, or at least to this thread? :hv20-smilie90: :hv20-smilie89:

Rikki, I'm offended by your remark. How "questionable" is it for me to help people? The price I'm offering is US$50 CHEAPER than that eBay seller. The shipping I'm offering is the same as the seller BUT fully insured. You can check with Canada Post how much is the shipping cost (stamps, Canada Post approved box, insurance, taxes). If anything, I lose time and petrol to get to the store, buy the stuff, bring it to the post office and line up there, fill out the custom forms, etc etc etc.

Well I am offended that you felt the need to reply in a thread where I was trying to help too, warning people against my own experience and advice!
"that seller is questionable. buyer beware"
Adding in your own "...but I know somewhere that sells it that isnt questionable" added to the insult, and from an outside perspective looked to me as though you were profiteering.
A simple "...you can also get it from..." would have sufficed instead of exclaiming that people BEWARE

If this guy works out, hey it's good! More source for this super rare item is better.

I doubt you will have any problems, I contacted the ebay seller before the buying and they were prompt with information and as I mentioned the item arrived very quickly indeed.

Did you have to pay any import tax unixuser101?. I'm presuming you're in the uk. Can I ask you what the bottom line price was for everything?. Lens, delivery etc.

I'd be interested as well.
As a guideline, I recently received the TL-H43 from B&H in the USA and had to pay £30 in taxes. I think the TL is slighty lower in price than the WD, so maybe a bit more from it. It was delivered by UPS.
I have also received a Matteblox from the USA and this was delivered by Parcel Force and the tax in total was about £19. Mattlebox value was $99 & TL-H43 value was about $180.
Not sure if taxes from Japan will differ.

I would love, so very very much, to buy one from you! I was about to break down and ebay one. I live in the US, not UK, for what it's worth, so shipping would be less of a pain.

I only got the chance to help one guy from this forum and another from another forum. Since then, Canon Canada is out of stock of the item and I was hospitalized for more than a couple of weeks due to surgery complications. I'm still unable to speak (whispering only) and until I can speak again, unfortunately I'll have stay home.
My apology for any inconvenience.
PS: I though B+H Photo now have them in stock? Shipping would definitely be cheaper within the US.
