FCP 4.5 Workflow advice

1. What's a good capture preset for capturing off the HV20 in FCP 4.5?

2. What's a good timeline preset to use while editing with the footage?

I'd like an answer to this as well...specifically, as to whether it's even possible. From everything I've read, you can only work with HV20 footage properly using FCP5 or above, not FCP4.5. Which is a problem for me, because I'd have to buy a new Mac first, since my current machine doesn't meet the minspec for FCP5.

well, I've been using fcp 4.5 without a problem with my HV20, so whoever you heard that from isn't correctly informed.

the issue here may be using HD native within FCP and I do know that 4.5 won't support that.

this forum however, NOT very useful.
