I am interested in buying the Canon t2i, but I can't stand the fact that the LCD doesn't move. Forget that heavy, bulky external 7''+ monitor bullcrap, I need an external monitor that can be rotated in different angles, HD output be damned!.An external monitor is an external monitor, 480p is good enough to judge focus framing etc. .Could someone please offer some suggestions. I already have the GH1 so any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I've seen several articles and reviews on this item. It has a bit less definition than the LCD on the back of the T2i but generally gets good reviews.

While the ad doesn't mention the T2i or 7D I have read this is available for both of those.

I decided that since I have a ton of "in-studio" shooting to do starting in April that I was going to just go ahead and buy a nice HDMI computer monitor and plug the camera in to that for use "in-studio". A good 8 foot HDMI cable solves any problems with being "tethered" to a monitor. And HOT DAMN, it looks fantastic in my tests. I got a 22-inch 720p (1440x900 actually) monitor for $99 shipped from newegg. Stellar investment for studio work, in my non-professional opinion.

Wow, thanks for the post. I am in the same boat, sounds like a fix.
Wow!
Anybody read the article in the link above (kateross' post)?
The first half or so was perfectly understandable but the last third "deteriorated" into what must have been a translator's nightmare.
Makes absolutely no sense...And I spent about half of my time in the military stationed in Asian cultures.

I think kateross is a "click farmer" (her only previous post also included a link to that same less-than-helpful site). Sorry, darling, but since you ignored my previous warning, I think it's time to break out the ban-hammer ...
