HV20 doesnt show up in older versions of Imovie...

I have an older version of imovie. Imovie 3 doesnt recognize Hv20. Ialso have FCE but my mac is only 500mhz the requirements for FCE is 550mhz. Any suggestions?

I would say get Ilife '08... But the system req. are too high... New computer? THat is probablly all you can do.

I would instead get iMovie '06. The '08 version sucks and doesn't work with his Mac. FCE won't work well on your Mac too.

However, the bigger problem here is your Mac not the application. At 500 Mhz you CAN NOT edit HDV. You need AT LEAST a 1.2 Ghz PowerMac to do the job. I have a dual 1.2 Ghz and it's barely enough. You also need at least 1 GB of RAM with older OSX versions and 2 GBs with Leopard.

No its a powerbook g4 running 10.4.6
