Ah, but Anaheim plays Detroit tonight. Being a Grosse Pointe grad from the great white north, I have to root for Detroit. Don't care for the Ducks, they beat my team, the Canucks, but they definitely have the Wings on their heels.

It is a bit galling, Brian Burke, the ex-Canuck's GM got fired 'cause he speaks his mind and the owner couldn't handle it, so the Ducks picked him up. I know a lot of fans here went "Oh, Oh!". Brian is one of the best, wish we had him back, but Nonis (the new GM, Burke's protege) is working hard.

Too bad you hate hockey....lol

Nash, a local boy, seems to be doing well down there, shoulda been MVP again, guess the voters got tired of seeing him there, regardless of his stats.

yah wohhooo Pistons won again, dodged a bullet!@ and i love Nash, he should have been MVP for sure i think, i think his stats were even better this year then they were last year. And i dont "hate" hockey, i watch it come playoff time, it was a bit dishearting to see the wings lose. I would have liked to see 2 world championships won here in Michigan in the same year:) Pistons and Wings, maybe even the Tigers lol

Ahhhh...love Michigan, skating down at the foot of 8 mile, just a few blocks from the house, got my best hockey year there. And when I graduated from Grosse Pointe High, I made a killing, as that was the year the Leafs beat the Wings for the Stanley Cup. As a Canuck I had to back the Canadian team, even though I hated the Leafs....lol

Onto the Tigers now! (I've always liked them more, Pistons has too many fans that jump on the bandwagon -- which the Tigers have just gotten in the last year, too, but there's more die-hard fans).

Well the Ducks won. My home team, the Canucks, were knocked out of the race by the Ducks in the second round. So now I don't feel too bad, we got done by the Stanley Cup champs! I have to say the Ducks played way above everyone else. A solid grinder team. They deserve the win.
