[SOLVED!] - I had my firewire HDD plugged into my Mac Mini, and the Camcorder plugged into the firewire socket on the HDD... BAD IDEA, sharing one firewire stream, between TWO intensive processes!!.

WARNING - DON'T DO THIS!!!

Hey chaps. I am a COMPLETE n00b, so please bear with me.

I have a brand new Panasonic NV-GS320 and I am trying to "Print to Tape" with Final Cut Pro 6. Sometimes it works and most of the time, halfway through recording onto the camcorder from the Mac, I lose sound and the picture displayed on the camcorders screen goes all fragmented with diagonal blockiness...

What have I done wrong??. It is BRAND new today so the heads are not dirty. I have blacked 7 mins of the tape from the beginning, and the clip I am printing out is only a min long, so I doubt it is that.

helppp!!! thanks!

Settings wrong??. By the way I am using a 25fps PAL dv timeline, and rendering my clips before printing to tape!.
