Sequence settings for importing 24p file into FCP

So I've gone through the process of reverse telecine-ing my 24p footage, captured via FCP and then reverse telecine'd via JES and now I have my 23.98 footage ready to bring back into FCP.

My question is... when I bring it back into FCP, does it need to be in a 24p timeline in order to play/edit correctly? If so... what are the correct sequence settings, or do I need to change my FCP easy set up setting to 1080p24 or something like that?

After removing pulldown (I use Compressor for this), when I bring in clips to FCP, it tells me settings don't match the clips, and asks if I want to change the sequence settings to match the clips. I just say 'yes', and thats it. Clip info then shows that they are 24p in the timeline.
