Anyone have a Gorilla pod? I've been thinking of getting one since I plan on doing some traveling and I want a tiny tripod to carry around with me and I was wondering how well it worked with the HV20. I just went to their site and saw they have different sizes, and the most expensive model can hold video cameras, but the one right below it says it can hold 6 pounds, which I'm sure the HV20 can't be much more than that.

I have 3 Gorillapod’s, an Original, an SLR Zoom and a Focus.

The Original is used with a Fuji FS100fd still digital camera, the SLR Zoom with my wife’s Canon HV30 and the Focus with my Canon XH-A1.

All I can say is that they all “work” but common sense needs to be used as you are using expensive cameras and accidents happen.

Last summer my wife and I were sat in the car on a beach near Cherbourg in France watching the waves crashing over rocks and onto the beach and I put her Canon HV30 onto the SLR Zoom and wrapped the legs around the top of the steering and left the camera rolling for about 30 minutes and everything was fine except when I put the wipers on every few minutes to clear the spray from the windscreen.

My advise is put one on your Christmas List.
