I know it's not high def anymore, but I was sitting at an outdoor market capturing some test footage and accidentally caught something funny:

There is a higher resolution encoding (still 1Mbps though) here:
http://www.embeddedexcellence.com/vid/GreatDogEscape.wmv
I captured it in 24p mode with the settings for "shade" enabled, then used the process detailed elsewhere in the forum to convert it to an uncompressed AVI to bring it into Vegas 6.0 for editing and rendering. The YouTube codec is the current version of XVID with standard poor-man's 56kbps MP3 audio. The WMV file is WMV9 using the 3Mbps template as a starting point, altered to be 23.976fps and 1Mbps data rate.
Here is a 10Mbps MP4 version (using the MainConcept AVC codec that comes with Vegas 6) rendered at full 1920x1080:

(WOW...the AVC codec messed it up [well, I did I guess]. It encoded that as just shy of 12fps. I fixing it now and will upload the new one in its place when it is done)
Oh man, I must be doing something silly with the AVC codec. Compare the above video to this one:

They are both 10Mbps CBR encoding and take up about 42MB of space, but the Quicktime one is just horrible! What gives?
