Hi all,

I recently got my first mac and love it. I have now just purchased the Hv20 and I am dead impressed.

Obviously I don't have that much experience with macs and this is also my first video recorder for years.

The only time I get to work on it is late at night when the kiddies are sleeping. Unfortunately thats when my brain stops working so I was hoping some less fatigued souls could help me out please.

I have googled but seem to be confusing myself.

I have shot some footage in the default settings and its awesome. I've imported it into imovie hd (because I prefer it to imovie 08) and made some short movies and shared them to iweb. I would love to be able to send this to my nan back in England on DVD but somehow I need to down convert. I can't seem to find the simple answer perhaps because I am so tired and can't concentrate.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here. I quite fancy getting myself FCP or FCE at some point. Would this help with what I am trying to do. I want to keep my main editing in HD so that I can watch and store it that way. in the mean time I've got imovie and idvd to work with.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I'm a PC person and use Pinnacle Studio 11 (which I like)
Your Nan will need a PAL DVD not NTSC (unless she has a "clever" DVD player)
