Does anyone know if you can get Cinema Tools by itself for the Mac for converting 24P to 25P? I just want Cinema Tools to purchase, I do not want to purchase FCS2 right now.

I want to try this experiment to see if I can use iMovie to edit our entire movie that has so far been shot in 24P with the HV20.

This is the useful thread about converting I got on an HV20 forum:

.. FCE *cannot* work with 24P. Nor can iMovie HD. Period. ... True. Still it is possible to work in iMovie with de-telecined 24p/60i footage from HV20.

Here is how:
a) use JES Deinterlacer as normal to process your 24p/60i clip so it's true 24p (AIC needless to say),
b) use CinemaTools to conform your deinterlaced 24p clip to 25p,
c) create new project in iMovieHD (25fps,1080i) (disconnect any camera first),
d) insert your clip, it will be accepted as is, No NEED for conversion*, each original frame will be fully preserved. Result - a 25 clip easily editable in iMovie that will however play ~4% faster than the original. Barely noticeable imho. The above applies to pre iMovie HD 8, 8 may have now native 24p support (it supports AVCHD for the first time) although I doubt it. - * other than audio when exporting back in full quality.

Try Ebay but I'm sure it'll be illegal to break the Apple FCS EULA.

I wanted to buy it legally, however that may be done.
