recording to a different tape

Unfortunately I bought a secondhand hv20 with tapes of different brands. Has anyone tried to record and cut something from one brand and record it back to the hv20 with another tape brand? :hv20-smilie51:

Alot of people will black out pre recorded tapes before using them. Just hit record from the start of the tape with the lenscap on or a cover over the lens. I would also try to stick to one brand of tape. Sometimes mixing tape brands can mess with your heads due the lubrication used by different manufactures.
