Anyone know much about the Pentax K-x??? I found this:

What do you guys think, is this a cheaper alternative for us poor film students?

The Goods:
1. Sensor size to match 7d
2. 24p
3. Cheap used lenses
4. $650 price tag

The Bads:
1. AA Batteries
2. no 60p
3. No adapters to use Nikon or Canon lenses (well that I know of anyway)
4. no manual controls in video mode
5. not too sure on how it will attach to a tripod

Overall not really. The jello might be better, and jello is the D90's biggest problem in my opinion. Although both have limited to no manual controls.

What do you mean by this?

There is manual focus, correct?

Also, I believe it said you can set different setting before filming, jut not during. So you can set the IS and what not. According to all that I've read.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I'm about to jump on this cam, since it seems like the biggest bang for the buck by a longshot. But if I am mistaken, I don't want to buy into something only to find I had incorrect information.
