Hm, I recognize the actress, but can't put my finger on it. I'll wait for the next clue if it goes there.

Never heard of any of these people. haha. Maybe it's just me? I need to watch more foreign films i guess. Usually the foreign films i see are western European films.

It's none of them and you got it, it's korean. The HOST? Did you really saw it? I wonder why you thought about it :hv20-smilie50:

Brotherhood of War?
Sympathy for Mr Vengeance?

spideralex90

From the clothing and look of the frames, i'm thinking 80's movie which lowers my chances of recognizing it immensely, and i've never seen a korean film so i'm SOL on this one.

A shot in the dark: Keurosing?

jmalmsten
2009 September 19th, 12:44
My guess is that it's a korean independent film from not that many years ago... the look in the pictures strongly reminds me of the current trend in film-look over there right now.

But for the life of me I cannot be more precise... it's not stylized enough to make me think it's a Chan Wook Park-flick though... and Mr Vengence is a scope-picture, I took a look just to make sure it wasn't that one. The pics here are 1.85 I guess without actually measuring.

unless it's one of his productions from before JSA, before which I haven't seen yet... I'll keep refreshing this page until someone guesses the right one...

spideralex90, it wasn't shot in 80's but the story happens in 70's, that's why it looks so. Keurosing (or Crossing or 크로싱) is a story about present and was shot recently.

jmalmsten, Park Chan-Wook is not the only famous korean director, even if he's one of the most, this film's director is not unknown at all... :hv20-smilie112:

Well i'm stumped. I think i've spent too long doing Google searches. I'll wait for an answer.

Maybe another clue?...

Gojaya

The director is one of the most famous korean director in the world with Park Chan-Wook. Such a huge hint...

Gojaya

Gojaya

Ok... It's Address Unknown! His best movie IMO but unfortunatlly one of the less known of him!

shponglization
2009 September 20th, 14:33
I've only seen "3 iron", "samaritan girl" and "spring, summer...", the latter being the best one imo.

spideralex90
2009 September 20th, 15:03
So does this mean Gojaya goes again since he seems to have stumped us? Or shponglization since he at least figured out the director?

Gojaya

I've only seen "3 iron", "samaritan girl" and "spring, summer...", the latter being the best one imo. It's the favorite of most people... I almost saw all his movies but not this one. 3-Iron is my N°2 in his movies. Spideralex90, no times to wonder :hv20-smilie81:
