I know that the NTSC HV series cameras record 24p in a 60i stream; and the HFS cameras do the same. I have a PAL HFS100. Is it safe to assume that the PAL HFS cameras record 25p in a 50i stream?
If it does, then what are the best setting when using Cineform NeoScene?:
Quote from NeoScene Manual
- With Maintain source frame rate selected, your converted CineForm files will match the
frame rate of your recorded material (60i/50i, or 30p/25p).
- With Deinterlace selected, Neo Scene will convert 60i/50i sources into 30p/25p.
- With Convert to 24p selected, Neo Scene will extract 24p from your source (25p for PAL
users) to produce true progressive files with a frame rate of 24 fps (23.976 fps for those
into the details). For best results, use your camera's 24p mode when recording (if
available), even though Neo Scene can create 24p files from 60i sources.
Any advice?
