OK here goes, but first, this is what I have done so far:
I have read the FAQ's
I have watched Little Billy in the video
I have read and tried Eugenia's Tutorial
I am up to page 46 of 103 pages of threads in the PC (non-Mac Computers, Editing and Software Forum)
I have been trying to work this out myself for 2 weeks, but I only have two strands of hair left and my kids are starting to get scared!!
If there's another word for "newbie" that's before "newbie" then that's me!!
I am in Australia and have bought a HV40 PAL together with the Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Pro Pack Version 9b.
My aim is to produce "how to" and "product update" informational videos for our business.
My problem is getting my videos to successfully render to YouTube in "full Widescreen", i.e., using the whole video area of YouTube. I do get the HQ option, but my video is just surrounded by a 'black box.'
Here are my Project Properties:
TEMPLATE: HDV 1080 - 50i (1440 x 1080) 25.000 fps.
WIDTH: 1,440
HEIGHT: 1,080
FIELD ORDER: Upper Field First
PIXEL ASPECT RATIO: 1.3333 (HDV 1080)
FRAME RATE: 25.000 (PAL)
FULL RESOLUTION RENDERING QUALITY: Best
DEINTERLACE METHOD: None
I used the "Match Media Settings" to capture these settings.
Here are my Render Settings:
SAVE TYPE AS: Windows Media Video V11
TICKED 'Stretch video to fill output frame size (do not letterbox)
VIDEO RENDERING QUALITY: Best
AUDIO is fine (advice from these forums suggested the AZDEN WLX-PRO VHF Wireless Lapel Microphone and I'm very happy with it)
VIDEO:
MODE: Bit Rate VBR (Peak)
FORMAT: Windows Media Video 9
IMAGE SIZE: High Definition (1280 x 720)
PIXEL ASPECT RATIO: 1.3333 (HDV 1080)
FRAME RATE (FPS): 25.000 (PAL)
SECONDS PER KEYFRAME: 3
AVERAGE BIT RATE (bps): 4.50 M
PEAK BIT RATE (bps): 5 M
PEAK BUFFER SIZE (sec): 20
I have tried all sorts of combinations but to no avail.
I would certainly appreciate any advice or suggestions from yourselves as to what I am doing wrong.
Thank you in advance and my apologies (CycleWriter) :) if this thread has been put in the wrong forum.
Regards
Damien
