Has anyone heard of this DOF adapater and or used it? http://www.leetj.com/rng35/index.html Any good? the price seems good and the lady that runs the company is really nice... the tests look pretty good too..... im looking for a good DOF that is not too bulky and this seems to fit.... but i dont want to waste my money for something that produces crap images... so any advice?

Hi Jcs212,
It seems pretty good but not sure if its HD footage? It seems that the videos are soft focus...maybe they didn't focus properly on locations or they didn't focus properly on the gg screen. I can't tell? On their site, they have a high resolution videos, but it doesn't look HD? Maybe its me? It may be shot on SD?
Just wish it was vibrating gg adaptor...its only static. Okay for using high speed lens like 1.2, 1.4. 1.8 not sure about using 2.0, 2.8 on it since you may see particulars on the screen.
Maybe they will show us more?
Cheers.
P.S. if you decide to go to their website, MAKE SURE you TURN down VOLUME, since they opening page is QUITE LOUD on your speakers.

Hey that's tkmslee adapter. I recognized the sample footage on his site. He's a regular here on HV20.com (240 posts.) You should ask him (http://www.hv20.com/member.php?u=591) about the adapter as he must be the one building and selling it.

hahaha, tkmslee took the Run N Gun name brand... that's pretty cool. We were discussing about the name a while ago on one of the thread here in the forum.

Are the internals by daniel (http://www.jetsetmodels.info) or does tkmslee make his own parts?

Hey folks I appreciate the comments. Actually it's not a lady, it's a dude. It's okay, I have had people calling me girl most of my life.
Yes the footage was all shot with the HV20, but using the RNG35 adapter makes it a bit soft. I have sold several of these and I hope to feature some user footage on the site soon.

tkmslee,
Can you tell us why is your adaptor produce a soft image? I reconize your web commerical and like it very much. I saw different versions of it by you in this forum.
Can you replace it with a vibrating gg? I like your adaptor but was wondering if you could use with vib gg?
Thx

I think the image is soft because of both the camera settings and not perfect back focus. I am going to try and get it as sharp as possible and put up another example.
I might develop a vibrating gg, but it will be a while.
