Vegas Platinum ... Lost my display window

Just getting started on this software and somehow I have lost a display window. When I open a file in the trimmer or try to preview a media file, I see that it is playing but the display window has gone. The Video Preview window is still there and working :hv20-smilie51:

OK ... the preview is playing in the preview window ... my problem is I used to have a
display to the right of the mixer and it has somehow gone away ?

Vegas only has one preview window (unlike older video editor designs from other companies). I don't understand what you mean with "display" window. If your preview window is there, then that's the one.

Is it possible you undocked the Preview window from the main window? If you have preview set to display in the trimmer then it won't show in the Preview window. You have to choose one or the other, it can't play in both.

JI have lost a display window.

You can always go to View> (click) Video Preview at the top to choose or undo the window.

I think that's what you mean by "display": where you can see the video playing. If it's still hidden you may have to drag/slide or close out other windows.

happens to me all the time, i think there is a tiny area on far bottom right you click and drag up to get it back.
